Business Intelligence & Data Integration Intern
Position Overview
The Business Intelligence Intern will support the Business Intelligence team by assisting with data integrations, database development, reporting, and analytics initiatives. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate with strong technical skills who is interested in sports, data engineering, and business analytics. This full-time internship will work closely with the Director of Business Intelligence and cross-functional stakeholders to help maintain data pipelines, improve data quality, and support business decision-making across ticketing, marketing, fan engagement, and other business operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain SQL queries, views, and datasets used for reporting and analysis.
- Assist with integrating data from multiple business systems, including CRM, ticketing, marketing, and digital platforms.
- Assist with the design, implementation, testing, and monitoring of data integrations.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues across systems.
- Document data sources, workflows, and integration processes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve data movement across platforms.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and support system enhancements.
- Support data quality initiatives, including data governance, cleansing, and standardization efforts.
Qualifications
- Required: Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
- Experience with APIs, web services, and integration tools.
- Understanding of data structures, ETL processes, and systems integrations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Recent completion of a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Mathematicss or a related field.
Preferred: Familiarity with CRM administration concepts (Flows, validation rules, custom objects, automation). Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Exposure to Python, JavaScript, or another programming language. Experience with Salesforce or another CRM platform. Interest in sports and entertainment analytics.
