Job Summary
The Business Intelligence & Data Engineering Lead is responsible for architecting, developing, and governing the enterprise data warehouse and analytics ecosystem for Group CBS Companies. This role leads the design and implementation of scalable data models, reporting frameworks, and cross-system integrations across NetSuite, Salesforce, ADP, and other enterprise platforms. The position ensures the accuracy, integrity, and strategic alignment of financial, operational, and sales data across subsidiaries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enterprise Data Architecture & Engineering
- Architect, develop, and maintain the enterprise data warehouse using modern data engineering principles (Bronze/Silver/Gold or medallion architecture).
- Design and manage data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and scheduling across multiple source systems (NetSuite ERP, Salesforce CRM, ADP, etc.).
- Implement incremental load strategies, change tracking, and data validation controls.
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies across systems to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Evaluate and mitigate technical debt within reporting and ERP environments.
- Monitor and optimize cloud spend by creating visibility dashboards for usage, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing automated, continuous improvements to eliminate waste.
- Business Intelligence & Analytics
- Design and deploy enterprise-level Power BI semantic models and dashboards aligned with executive, financial, and operational KPIs.
- Manage user licenses and permissions, configure workspace settings and data gateways, monitor performance/usage metrics, and enforce security policies, such as sensitivity labels and data protection.
- Standardize reporting logic across subsidiaries to ensure consolidated financial and operational visibility.
- Create and maintain semantic layer for business-friendly abstraction between data lake and analytics tools, translating complex, technical data structures into familiar business terms.
- Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders and translate business processes into scalable data solutions.
- Provide advanced financial and operational analysis to support executive decision-making.
- Serve as primary analytics liaison for cross-functional initiatives (e.g., subsidiary expansion, FX reporting, consolidation).
- Governance & Strategy
- Establish data governance standards, documentation practices, and role clarity between BI, Finance, and Applications teams.
- Identify redundant or conflicting data sources and rationalize architecture.
- Ensure reporting processes align with accounting integrity and audit requirements.
- Support strategic initiatives including AI enablement, automation opportunities, and data-driven operational optimization.
- Provide technical leadership in cross-functional projects and system enhancements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, Operations, IT, and executive leadership to ensure data initiatives align with company objectives.
- Support subsidiary expansion efforts (e.g., multi-currency and international reporting).
- Act as a trusted advisor for reporting, data modeling, and system interaction between ERP, CRM, and BI platforms.
- Mentor users and promote data literacy across departments.

- Candidates must possess or quickly acquire expertise in:
- Microsoft Fabric / Azure Data ecosystem (or equivalent modern data platform)
- Power BI (semantic modeling, DAX, governance)
- SQL Server / Data Warehousing
- ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred)
- CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
- Data integration, ETL/ELT methodologies
- Financial and operational reporting frameworks
- Preferred:
- Experience with multi-entity consolidation and multi-currency reporting
- Familiarity with DevOps and deployment best practices
- Exposure to AI/automation tools and enterprise data strategy

- EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, MIS, Data Science, or related field required
- 5+ years experience in BI, data engineering, or enterprise analytics
- Experience designing and managing enterprise-scale data models and reporting environments
