Business Intelligence Analyst

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support a platform providing ad hoc access to large datasets.
• Mine data from database tables (e.g., Redshift, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) using SQL and ETL.
• Mine data from log files, spreadsheets by writing scripts (e.g., PERL, Python, UNIX).
• Develop analytical tools: deep-dive tools, UIs, metrics, and dashboards.
• Analyze data to inform strategic and tactical initiatives.
• Write up the findings from analyses for less-technical audiences.
• Partners with business, product management, operations, and the technical team.

Education And Experience

• 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience.
• Experience with data visualization using Power BI, Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
• Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab.
• Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling.
• Knowledge of AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
• Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.

Work Environment / Physical Demands

• This position is in a typical office environment which requires prolonged sitting in front of a computer.
• Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment.
• May have occasional high stress when dealing with customers/clients.
• Some travel may be required.
