Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and enhance dashboards.
- Develop data models in Power BI, establishing relationships between datasets from multiple data sources (Data warehouse, ERP, CRM, CMS, etc.) to enable comprehensive analysis.
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using a variety of chart types and geospatial maps to support data-driven decision-making.
- Translate stakeholder pain points, requirements, and feedback into analytics solutions that address business needs and are implemented efficiently.
- Utilize analytics tools to cleanse and transform data, ensuring large datasets meet stringent data quality standards.
- Leverage Microsoft Fabric Notebooks (Python) and Dataflows to perform advanced data transformation, analysis, and automation of data processes.
- Develop and deliver monthly KPI reporting to measure business performance and support data-driven decision-making.
- Define and document data assumptions, definitions, and transformation logic to ensure consistency, transparency, and trust in analytics outputs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across departments to assist with data transformation or reporting needs.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and provide ongoing support for reports and Power BI dashboards.
- Provide training and support as needed on reporting and analytics.
Requirements
- Proficiency in leveraging SQL, Python, Excel (Power Query), and Power BI to analyze, transform, and visualize data for business insights.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric including Dataflows, Notebooks (Python), and Power BI, for data transformation, analysis, and reporting.
- Proficiency in writing Data Analysis Expression (DAX) formulas.
- Proven experience creating and customizing Power BI visuals (bar charts, line charts, tables, etc.).
- Experience building geospatial visualizations in Power BI (e.g., ArcGIS maps and native map visuals).
- Solid understanding of database management systems and data warehousing concepts.
- Knowledge of data connection methods including API integrations and data source management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
- Able to develop strong relationships and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Solid business acumen, management, communication skills, and ability to work independently.
- University degree or college diploma in business, Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience delivering business analytics and BI solutions using Power BI and enterprise data sources.
- PREFERRED: Experience leveraging AI or advanced analytics (e.g., predictive analytics, automation, or AI-assisted insights within BI platforms).
- Experience with enterprise systems including Salesforce, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Familiarity with housing, architecture, or manufacturing.
- Project Management experience.
- Experience with marketing, customer, or digital analytics.
