About the role

rockITdata is seeking a Junior Project Manager and a Business Intelligence Analyst to support federal projects and initiatives. The Junior Project Manager leads moderately complex federal projects and strategic initiatives, while the Business Intelligence Analyst supports data-driven decision-making by delivering actionable insights and reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Translate high-level business challenges into data-driven analyses.
  • Gather information from various data sources to create integrated views and reports.
  • Analyze data sets, deliver insights, and make recommendations to improve business performance.
  • Partner with leadership to develop metrics and reports that provide transparency into business performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with BI team members and stakeholders to streamline data collection, management, and reporting processes.
  • Drive standardization, quality, and automation of data and metrics used in USMA reporting and analysis.
  • Interface with external agencies to help ensure streamlined processes for obtaining data and reporting.
  • Engage with key stakeholders and collaborators within V&I, including V&I Global Medical and Value Capabilities (V&I GMVC) and the Therapeutic Area (TA) teams, as well as Legal, Compliance, and other functional leaders to recommend solutions and/or process improvements.
  • Evaluate BI-related metrics, metrics collection, communication approaches, and the external landscape for data-analysis best practices.
  • Complete operational duties as identified and assigned to support strategic and operational goals of the V&I BI organization.
  • Adhere to compliance and regulatory procedures, working closely with Global Compliance and Legal.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or health care, plus five or more years of relevant pharmaceutical and/or Medical Affairs experience.
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills, ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root-cause analyses.
  • Proficiency in common data-analytics tools, particularly data collection and visualization techniques.
  • Strong critical thinking, learning agility, and decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to innovate with practical solutions for complex issues.
  • Excellent leadership and project-management skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders across technology platforms and business areas.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), stakeholder-management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interface and influence across various organizational levels, including facilitation, consulting, negotiation, and presentation.
  • Ability to work independently while escalating risks and issues as appropriate.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment.
  • Strong personal integrity and high ethical standards.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access).
  • Experience with vendor/contractor management.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days onsite in Edison/Rahway, NJ area.
