Business Intelligence Analyst
Job Summary
The Business Intelligence Analyst provides operational and financial analysis to PSC operational units and senior leadership. As a part of the Financial Reporting team, this person will be responsible to move, integrate, and transform data into business insights.
What You Will Do
- Work closely with Database Administrators, Architecture, and Operational leadership teams
- Working knowledge of SQL programming to perform queries related to report and dashboard creation
- Analyze business needs to produce valuable insights
- Prepare on-demand analytics and ad-hoc reports
- Design and develop reports from Data Warehouse using BI tools
- Working knowledge of building various reports and dashboards using business intelligence platforms, such as MS Excel, MicroStrategy and PowerBI
- Able to work with others to identify areas of opportunity through data discovery
- Accurately interpret business requirements and translate them into actionable data visualizations with aid from others
- Create appropriate deliverables as a part of assigned projects or ad hoc development assignments
- Effectively communicate data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Create and prepare presentations or reports for PSC senior leadership team
- Perform other related duties as assigned in order to support the goals of the PSC
- Take ownership of responsibilities, working individually or with teams to accomplish goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- 1-2 years’ experience in related field preferred
