$72,315–$100,000 | Hybrid | New Braunfels, TXGVTC is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst who can turn complex data into clear, reliable insights that help teams make better decisions.If you enjoy digging into data, building dashboards and reporting solutions, solving complex problems, and working directly with business teams to understand what they actually need—not simply what they ask for—this could be a great opportunity.In this role, you'll work at the intersection of data, technology, and business strategy, helping teams across GVTC access and understand the information they need to make informed decisions.You'll work with technologies including Power BI, SQL, Python, data warehouses, ETL processes, and enterprise business applications while having the opportunity to take ownership of solutions from initial requirements through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. What You'll DoBusiness Intelligence & AnalyticsPartner with teams across GVTC to understand reporting, analytics, and decision-support needsTranslate business requirements into scalable business intelligence solutionsDesign, develop, test, and deploy dashboards, reports, and analytical applicationsUse historical and operational data to uncover insights and support strategic decision-makingValidate reporting and analytical data to ensure accuracy and reliabilityMaintain business definitions, coding definitions, metadata, and other enterprise data standardsHelp develop and maintain ETL processes used to load and validate operational and historical dataInvestigate and resolve issues involving reporting, data warehouses, data marts, and source dataDevelopment & Application SupportDevelop and enhance software applications and solutions that support business needsMaintain and improve assigned enterprise and legacy applicationsTest new and modified applications to verify functionality and accuracyPerform regression testing to ensure system changes do not negatively impact existing functionalityTroubleshoot application, software, and system issues and identify appropriate solutionsBecome a subject matter expert for assigned third-party and internal applicationsProvide first-line application support and help users resolve technical issuesResearch emerging technologies, development tools, languages, and industry standardsProjects & CollaborationServe as a liaison between IT and business teamsGather and document technical and business requirementsCreate project plans, requirements documentation, design documents, test plans, and test casesEstimate the effort required for assigned projects and requestsManage priorities and deliver work according to approved project timelinesCommunicate system enhancements, changes, and scheduled upgrades to usersDevelop technical documentation, user guides, and training materialsProvide regular project and request status updates to stakeholders and managementFollow established application development, SDLC, technical support, and change-control processes What We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who is equally comfortable analyzing a dataset, troubleshooting a technical issue, and sitting down with a business partner to understand the problem they're trying to solve.Successful candidates will bring:Associate or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field3+ years of relevant professional experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesWorking knowledge of database design and development conceptsExperience with Microsoft SQL Server and Transact-SQLExperience with stored procedures, triggers, and related database functionalityWorking knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Management StudioExperience with Power BIWorking knowledge of Python or another machine-learning systemFamiliarity with Microsoft Visual StudioHands-on technical troubleshooting experienceUnderstanding of business systems principlesKnowledge of applicable data privacy practices and requirementsStrong written and verbal communication skillsTelecommunications industry experience is preferred but not required.
