About the role

The Business Intelligence Analyst acts as a subject-matter expert, leveraging data to define, develop, and communicate product strategy to clients and senior leadership. As a member of a growing team, this role requires comfort with ambiguity, the ability to independently identify opportunities, and a strong sense of ownership. You will analyze and report on data, as well as recommend data-driven strategies to our product teams.

Responsibilities

• Use data and build models to help solve problems using analytical and/or numerical methodologies
• Explore databases to leverage relevant information to optimize processes, identify areas of improvement, and build strategy
• Understand complex payment flow, define use cases to optimize current solutions
• Look for patterns, inconsistencies, and areas of potential optimization
• Communicate and understand client requests to help assess performance and develop data solutions
• Create custom reports for management to aid in their day-to-day and empower data-driven decisions
• Work with our partners to prioritize and deliver important milestones and deliverables
• Develop and maintain the ability to communicate complex data issues to various teams including product managers, engineers, and upper management

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a similar analytical role
• Bachelor’s in Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, or other analytical field (or relevant work experience)
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and SQL; comfortable reasoning with abstract data requiring recursive or layered logic across tables
• Proficiency with at least one visualization tool such as Power BI or Tableau
• Experience in data modeling, client management, analytics, and business savviness
• Familiarity with at least one analytical tool like Python or R

Skills

• More advanced knowledge of Python and/or development concepts (nice to have)
• E-commerce and/or Payment Processing experience (nice to have)
