Business Installation & Repair Technician
About the role
As a Business Installation and Repair Technician at Ledcor Technical Services, you will utilize your experience to install and maintain various telecommunication systems. This role offers an opportunity to build upon your skillset in the growing business "internet of things" market and develop within a large organization. You will work in a fast-paced, customer-focused culture that provides a self-managed work environment, performing installations and repairs of telecommunications services while building trust with all those you work with.
Essential responsibilities
- Install and maintain various voice, data, security, and VoIP communication systems and equipment
- Building on your customer service skills, ensure work orders are completed
- Drive to and from customer locations in a defined geographic area performing installation of services on behalf of our client
- Utilize a laptop computer and various software applications
Qualifications
- 1-5 years of experience working with telecommunication networks or similar electrical fields
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working independently and a strong technical aptitude
- Working with Cisco systems or like equipment manufacturers
Work conditions
- Home-based dispatching role - travel required with a company provided vehicle
- Physical requirements: sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights and in confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces, as well as in all types of weather conditions (that are deemed safe)
- Weekend and on-call work required as needed
