About the role
Partners with assigned business segments to provide actionable and decision-relevant business insights based on customer trends, market trends, customer behavior, voice of the customer, competitive assessment, and industry trends. Provides analytical support and business-level guidance in the creation and distribution of enterprise business intelligence reporting. Offers expert knowledge of current Informational Delivery Platform tools, methods, and best practices, and recommends and implements process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Consults regularly with assigned lines of business to understand their strategic plan, goals, and business issues.
- Consults with management to identify and define strategic business issues and requirements for analysis.
- Translates business issues into analyses and designs appropriate systems extracts, files, and reports to address them.
- Writes and presents recommendations based on analysis, providing insight into business, products, markets, and industry.
- Acts as a subject matter expert on customer data and integrations.
- Works with a cross-functional marketing team to develop and execute a strategic marketing plan for the line of business, ensuring value proposition relevancy and effectiveness.
- Develops strategic recommendations for leadership using customer analysis, market analysis, competitive analysis, financial reports, product trend reports, and industry reports.
- Continuously improves the quality and relevance of information resources.
- Collaborates with Business Intelligence Analysts to design reporting, analyses, and lists aligned with business strategy and goals.
- Presents recommendations, analysis, and research findings to internal audiences by synthesizing complex data into easy-to-comprehend presentations.
- Researches trends in loan and deposit portfolios, including reasons and implications of changes.
- Assists in designing business rules and strategy for Client and Relationship Management hub under the Informational approach.
- Provides information and analysis that guides strategic thinking and supports decision-making.
- Validates business needs in the business intelligence development and release cycle, including intake and priority review, and communicates updates to business and end-user communities.
- Works with the data management team to identify and document data gaps for information requests and enhancements, and assists in validation once delivered.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in bank reporting and profitability systems.
- At least 4 years of experience with detailed knowledge of the banking, financial services, or investment industry.
- Advanced understanding of financial reporting and analytics.
- Understanding of reporting tools and platforms.
- Strong analytical and database skills.
- Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
- Ability to understand complex financial statistics and reports.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
