About the role
The Jasper of Meadows Place is a premier retirement community in Houston, TX providing quality care to residents in an ASSISTED LIVING and MEMORY CARE community.
Responsibilities
- Supports the business office functions at the community, primarily focusing on payroll tasks.
- Serves as the community’s support resource for handling and managing questions/inquiries from residents and their families related to services, billing, or solving concerns.
- Supports the human resources functions to assist the leadership team accomplish goals through people including but not limited to; personnel records, orientation, employee retention efforts, leave of absence, and recruitment assistance within the community.
- Affirms all employees are following Company policies and procedures, and assists administering, coordinating, and directing all activities in accordance with the policies and procedures, benefit enrollment, orientation, and general HR responsibilities and compliance.
- Ensures compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations (i.e., HIPAA, State Regulations, OSHA, and infection control protocols, etc.).
- Prepares census changes, enters payments, ancillary charges, prepares statements, processes resident renewals, and closes the AR books for each period.
- Maintains and reviews accounts payable and routes invoices to the appropriate department, enters invoices, and tracks payment information.
- Verifies and maintains all employee records including those relating to actions involving the BD's direct reports.
- Directs and manages direct reports.
- Verifies and submits timecards for bi-weekly payroll.
- Tracks used PTO time for all staff.
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or a related field and two (2) years of experience with business office functions; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three (3) to five (5) years in business office management, finance or accounting preferred.
