About the role

The AWS Government Regions team is seeking a Business Development Manager to join a fast-paced organization. This position requires being a US Citizen.

Key job responsibilities

• Research, identify, and develop strategies to expand business in untapped markets and customer domains for the AWS Government Regions.
• Identify specific customer segments, industry verticals, and partner markets to approach with targeted value propositions and business case proposals leveraging the AWS Government regions.
• Identify key AWS Technology Partners and work with the AWS sales and partner development teams to introduce the AWS Government Regions to partners and customers.
• Define, develop, and manage Government Regions-focused AWS Partner Programs and initiatives.
• Research and develop business cases to support detailed product feature requests in the AWS Government Regions.
• Work collaboratively to develop and execute the sales/business development plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g., PMO, sales, legal, support, etc.).
• Work across AWS marketing and other business development teams to develop campaigns, programs, and go-to-market initiatives for the AWS Government regions.
• Monitor partner onboarding and adoption; develop approaches to increase number of product/service offerings, revenue growth rates, and workload retention rates.

Basic Qualifications

• 6+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience
• 6+ years of professional or military experience
• 5+ years of working with Core Cloud Technology Services, including, but not limited to Compute, Edge, Hybrid, Security, and/or Networking experience
• 5+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage experience
• 5+ years of in program management, workforce strategy development, or metrics-driven decision making experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules
• Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical executive audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in business, data science, public administration, finance, engineering, human resources, or related field, or PMP certificate
• Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
• Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations across leadership and cross-functional teams
