About the role

We are seeking an early BD & Strategy Partner to help drive Emerald AI’s commercial efforts and support the partnerships that will define our early market presence. You will contribute to shaping our go-to-market approach, building a pipeline of high-value opportunities, and ensuring our technology roadmap is informed by customer and partner needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Commercial Strategy: Contribute to the development of our Strategic Long Range Plan; support go-to-market strategy development, including segmentation, ICP refinement, and positioning for early adopter segments.
  • Build & Manage Pipeline: Identify, research, and engage prospective customers and strategic partners. Support moving opportunities from initial outreach through pilots and early deployments.
  • Develop Partnerships: Assist in identifying partnership opportunities, researching potential partners, and supporting relationship development and execution of partnership initiatives.
  • Market Intelligence & Insights: Gather and analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer feedback to inform go-to-market priorities and strategic direction, in collaboration with Product Management.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product and engineering teams, sharing market and customer insights to help inform product development and roadmap priorities.
  • Support Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to ad hoc workstreams such as fundraising support, board materials, industry conferences, grant applications, and other strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, corporate strategy, management consulting, or a related field.
  • Experience working with or selling into large, complex customers and navigating multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud services, data centers, or AI infrastructure ecosystems.
  • Exposure to early-stage startups or high-growth technology environments is a plus.
  • Knowledge of power markets and electric grids is optional and a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to synthesize insights and support execution.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
