About the role

The Business Development Senior Specialist – Global Litigation & Trial is an integral part of Latham’s Business Development team. This role will work closely with the Litigation & Trial Business Development (BD) team to execute the strategies of the various Litigation & Trial practice groups, while developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the firm’s market position, competitive landscape, client base, and bench of expertise in litigation. This role may be located in either our San Francisco, Silicon Valley, New York, Washington, D.C., or Chicago office and may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities

• Stay abreast of developments and trends at the intersection of litigation and technology, and remain informed of all major new clients and matters
• Provide research, analysis, and reporting to support the identification and development of new clients and the enhancement of existing client relationships
• Support the practice groups in routine analysis and reporting of practice and industry competition, market trends, internal financial information, business opportunities, and pitch activity to develop and implement internal and external strategies both globally and by region
• Collaborate with lawyers, BD, and public relations teams on speaking opportunities, webinars, and other visibility initiatives
• Disseminate relevant sector, market, and client trends internally
• Protect and maintain any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

Requirements

• Knowledge of the litigation landscape
• Ability to execute multiple work streams and manage priorities effectively
• Ability to work in a team environment with a customer-service focus
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Minimum of four (4) years of related subject matter experience and related analytical experience, including a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience working within litigation practice areas with a law firm

Pay

USD $100,000.00 - USD $125,000.00 per year
