Business Development Representative (REMOTE)

About the role

RMS Roller-Grinder is a company that specializes in particle size reduction equipment. We are looking for a Business Development Representative to help us expand our market presence in new sectors.

Responsibilities

• Identify and research new markets and customer segments
• Develop and execute strategic plans to bring RMS into new industries
• Drive new business through proactive outbound prospecting, with a strong emphasis on cold calling
• Connect with key decision-makers, build relationships, and turn prospects into customers
• Deliver engaging presentations and product demonstrations
• Work with sales and marketing to fine-tune strategies and maximize impact
• Stay up to date on industry trends, competitors, and new opportunities
• Represent RMS at trade shows, industry events, and conferences

Requirements

• No degree required
• Self-starter with confidence in initiating conversations and creating new opportunities
• Comfortable and effective with cold calling and outbound outreach
• Strong communicator who can quickly build trust and engagement
• Creative thinker with fresh approaches to business growth
• Willingness to travel approximately 30%

Qualifications

• Experience in capital equipment sales or working in processing industries is a plus
• Experience breaking into new markets through outbound prospecting and cold outreach is a plus
