About the Role

Trinity is seeking competitive, relationship-driven individuals who thrive in a fast-paced sales environment. As a Business Development Representative, you will start in inside sales, cold calling and pursuing leads to acquire new customers. As you build your book of business, you will transition into an account management role, servicing customers' growing transportation needs. This position offers unlimited commission potential on top of a base salary.

Responsibilities

  • Cold call and pursue leads to acquire new customers for Trinity’s transportation services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing customers.
  • Act as a one-stop-shop for customers' transportation needs, overcoming objections and providing top-notch service.
  • Transition from inside sales to account management as you grow your book of business.
  • Analyze business data, generate reports, and draft professional business correspondence.
  • Utilize CRM and BI systems to manage customer relationships and sales activities.

Requirements

  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in logistics is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with CRM and BI systems is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
  • Disciplined organizational and multitasking skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to connect with others on a personal level to build trust and openness in relationships.
