Alliant Insurance Services is seeking a Business Development Representative to join our Oneill Marketing Office. Based in O'Neill, we are America's leading FMO (Field Marketing Organization), dedicated to helping agents grow their book with ACA, off-market major medical, and ancillary products. Responsibilities

  • Promote O'Neill's product portfolio to qualify for the Senior Marketing Consultant position within product areas, focusing on cross-selling, educating, and promoting all company products and services.
  • Operate at an expert level with the technology necessary to perform at a high standard, including software, hardware, tools, websites, and web-based programs used by the company.
  • Develop and support marketing plans for assigned agents, handle up to 100 telephone calls daily, and assist agents with recruitment, training, and certification processes.
  • Communicate regularly with agents about product information, rate changes, and key benefits, monitor compliance with reporting rules, and provide technical support training.
  • Identify and cultivate top producers, address issues with problem agents, and recruit agents for special opportunities like new lead sources and alternative enrollment methods.
  • Manage the team roster, maintain regular contact with agents, and ensure the highest level of performance from the team.
  • Represent the company at carrier meetings, teleconferences, and resolve problem situations with carrier representatives. Serve as a resource for newer marketers.
  • Update and maintain system information, manage the team roster, and update task lists, demonstrating proficiency in Who Quit Writing, Debit Balances, MGA reports, lead distribution, certification processes, and other relevant systems.
  • Assist with training new employees, conduct webinars, and prepare information for internal marketing meetings.
  • Travel on behalf of the company to attend meetings and represent the company professionally.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED, with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in the General Insurance Industry or related fields (such as financial services, marketing, web-based business, business-to-business customer service, or call centers).
  • A valid Life/Health Insurance License within 90 days.

Skills

  • Enhanced knowledge of the insurance services industry and specific current knowledge of product lines assigned to the marketer.
  • Fully proficient in O'Neill Marketing products, technology, and services.
  • Highly experienced in working effectively with inbound and outbound callers/customers.
  • Proven skill in negotiating and problem-solving to resolve internal and external conflicts.
  • Proven ability to initiate change to improve processes and achieve business goals.
  • Proficient in using office equipment and conducting effective webinars with producers.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in a constructive manner and properly document information such as contracts sent, conversations with agents, and agent or company commitments.
  • Proven ability to engage in effective interpersonal interactions, verbal communication, and written communication.
  • Proven ability to persuade.
  • Proven ability to maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail while remaining flexible and responsive when faced with multiple urgent requests.
  • Proven ability to read, write, and communicate English effectively and articulately.
  • Proven ability to maintain all company policies, including confidentiality and safety policies.
  • Effectively and actively contribute to team efforts.
  • Proven ability to work independently, exercise independent judgment, and make and execute decisions.
  • Proven ability to be a self-starter and motivate oneself to accomplish goals and tasks within a given time frame.
