Position Overview
Scotch is seeking a Business Development Representative to help fuel our growth as we modernize liquor stores across the country. You'll be the first voice a prospective merchant hears from Scotch — sourcing and qualifying opportunities, building pipeline for our sales team, and setting the tone for what it's like to work with us.
Key Responsibilities
- Possess and qualify inbound interest and quickly determine fit, need, and timing
- Book meetings and demos for Account Executives, setting them up to close
- Keep our CRM clean and accurate — logging activity, notes, and next steps
- Learn the Scotch platform inside and out so you can speak credibly to how it saves merchants time and grows profit
- Work in-office in Denver, five days a week, alongside the sales and leadership team
Qualifications & Skills
- 1+ years of experience in a BDR/SDR or similar outbound sales role encouraged
- Fearless on the phone — you're energized by cold calling, not intimidated by it, and you treat rejection as part of the job, not a reason to slow down
- Self-starter mentality with a track record of hitting and exceeding activity and pipeline targets
- Comfort in an autonomous, performance-driven environment
- Genuine enthusiasm for technology and modern sales enablement tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Haves
- Experience in the retail liquor or broader BevAlc space
- Experience selling hardware + software bundles or multi-product platforms
- Familiarity with POS, payments, or e-commerce solutions
Compensation & Benefits
- $90,000 OTE ($60k base + $30k uncapped commission)
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage — 75% premium covered for employees
- Company-sponsored 401(k)
- Unlimited flexible PTO — we actively encourage you to use it
