Job Summary

We are a determined, leading company that provides transportation solutions through our energetic and collaborative logistics team. The Business Development Representative is tasked with driving profit growth through revenue generation with new customer acquisition. We have strong leadership in place and are poised for growth.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Succesfully positions Q Carriers to acquire new business through aggressive lead generation and outbound calling
  • Utilizes a proven sales call process to identify prospective customers through a question-based interaction
  • Identifies and develops new customer relationships that offer solutions, which utilize the Q Carriers portfolio of freight logistics services
  • Develops a thorough knowledge of the market enabling you to competitively sell our freight logistics services to our customers
  • Builts relationships and collaborates internally

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 or related software
  • Able to quickly learn the organization’s internal Transportation Management System (TMS) and provider websites

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
  • 1-2 years of inside sales, account management, or cold calling preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
