Position Summary

We’re looking for a driven and energetic Business Development Representative to join our growing sales team. This role is essential in expanding our reach in the meat processing and behind-the-counter seasoning markets. You’ll identify new business opportunities, engage with prospective customers, and provide qualified leads to support our outside sales team. This in-office role offers an exciting opportunity to earn commission on all first-time orders, with future potential to build and manage your own book of business.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify and develop new leads in underserved or unrepresented territories
  • Build strong relationships with prospects and qualify new business opportunities
  • Conduct high-volume outreach through phone, email, and digital platforms
  • Understand customer needs and present tailored product solutions
  • Collaborate with the outside sales team to grow pipeline and support territory expansion
  • Maintain and track activities in Salesforce CRM
  • Stay current on product knowledge and industry trends
  • Participate in training and cross-functional initiatives
  • Follow safety, GMP, HACCP, and quality assurance protocols

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of experience in business development or territory sales
  • Comfortable with cold calling and prospecting in a high-volume environment
  • Experience in the meat industry or food manufacturing is a plus
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and CRM/ERP platforms
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated with a proactive “hunter” mindset
  • Confident, persuasive, and customer-focused
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Ability to perform some light physical activity as needed (lifting, bending, standing)
