Business Development Representative

We are seeking a Business Development Representative to join our global team in our New York City office near Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan. This hybrid role requires in-office presence 3 days per week and is open to candidates in the tri-state area. We welcome individuals from the AEC industry without SaaS experience, particularly those with proposal experience, who are eager to transition into a tech career.

About the Role

This is a phone-first role for someone who thrives on live conversation. You will spend most of your day working the phones against a mix of cold and warm leads, setting meetings for our Account Executives. Success hinges on mastering the cold call, handling objections, and actively listening to the pain points of AEC professionals. Top performers are promoted within 1–2 years into various go-to-market roles.

Responsibilities

• Spend most of the day on the phone calling into a mix of cold and warm leads.
• Master the cold call to set qualified meetings for our Account Executives.
• Handle objections in real time and keep conversations moving forward.
• Listen actively and connect with the day-to-day pain points of AEC professionals.
• Proactively seek new business opportunities across target accounts.
• Collaborate closely with Account Executives to set meetings and drive sales.

Requirements

• Experience in the AEC industry, ideally within the proposal process (e.g., marketing coordinator, marketing manager, or business development roles).
• High work ethic and no fear of picking up the phone.
• Resilience and comfort with frequent rejection.
• Pleasantly persistent communication style.
• Exceptional verbal communication skills and a natural ability to build rapport.

No prior BDR or SaaS experience is required, and a college degree is not necessary.
