MotherDuck is Looking For

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a key player in driving our growth and introducing companies to our innovative cloud-based data analytics platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify & Qualify Opportunities: Engage with prospects to assess their needs and determine if they align with MotherDuck’s offerings.
  • Pipeline Building: Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of leads to support our Account Executives.
  • Product Education: Articulate MotherDuck’s value proposition clearly and effectively to potential customers.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to refine outreach strategies and messaging.
  • Communication: Explain complex concepts in simple terms to ensure potential customers understand the benefits of MotherDuck.
  • Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback from prospects to enhance our go-to-market approach and product messaging.
  • Adapt & Problem-Solving: Tailor your approach based on different industries and customer needs.
  • Own the Process: Maintain accurate records in our CRM, follow up with prospects, and refine your outreach strategies.
  • Outbound Prospecting: Conduct targeted outreach via email, phone, and social media to generate interest and set meetings with potential customers.
  • Stay Curious & Keep Learning: Continuously develop your knowledge of data analytics, industry trends, and customer pain points.

Our Interview Process

  • Discovery call with our recruiting team to get acquainted and ensure mutual fit.
  • Conversation with our BDR Lead to learn about your prospecting approach, communication style, and excitement for the data space.
  • Deeper conversation with our Sales team covering outbound strategy, handling objections, and a short role-play exercise.
  • Final conversation with our CEO focusing on values and vision.
