About the Role
Labviva is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive growth by generating new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will focus on creating leads and building relationships within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and higher education research sectors, particularly with Procurement teams.
What You Will Contribute
- Possess coachability, curiosity, and drive to build a career in sales.
- Leverage communication skills to engage prospects, understand their needs, and initiate meaningful conversations.
- Collaborate in a dynamic environment, aligning with Supplier Operations, Engineering, Product, Finance, and Legal teams to deliver a seamless experience for prospects.
- Represent Labviva at conferences, trade shows, and networking events to expand market presence.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in inside sales, lead generation, or customer-facing roles at a SaaS company, preferably in the life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Ability to clearly articulate value propositions and business cases to senior decision-makers, especially those in the Procurement function.
- Self-starter with entrepreneurial instincts, strong work ethic, and a team-first mentality.
- Excellent verbal and written skills, with persistence and resilience when facing rejection.
- Genuine interest in life sciences and biotech, with the ability to learn and understand complex scientific products and procurement processes.
- Experience with CRM tools, such as HubSpot, preferred, and other modern sales technologies.
- Able to manage multiple priorities, stay detail-oriented, and consistently follow up.
