About the role

This role will be hybrid in either NYC or Boston, MA. GitGuardian is a global post-Series C cybersecurity startup. Among our early investors who saw our market value proposition, are the co-founder of GitHub, Scott Chacon, along with Docker's co-founder, Solomon Hykes. American and European top-tier VC firms have also invested in GitGuardian. GitGuardian leads the way in Non-Human Identity security, offering end-to-end solutions from secrets detection in code, productivity tools and environments to strong remediation, observability and proactive prevention of leaks.

Responsibilities

  • Work from various channels such as cold calling, email campaigns, social media, networking and events to identify potential leads and generate new business opportunities.
  • Conduct thoughtful research to understand prospect's industry, pain points, and business needs. Engage in conversations to qualify leads, identify decision-makers, and gather relevant information.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with potential customers through effective communication, active listening, and understanding their unique requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure smooth handover of qualified leads and provide valuable insights to enhance the sales process.
  • Execute strategic inbound and outbound sales activities to engage prospects and set up meetings or product demonstrations for the sales team.
  • Update and maintain accurate records of lead interactions, progress, and status in our customer relationship management (CRM) system (Bonus Points if you have experience with HubSpot!).
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and market changes to identify new opportunities and optimize sales strategies.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a B2B sales development or lead generation role is required, ideally within a cybersecurity SaaS environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage prospects and articulate product features and benefits effectively.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with potential customers.
  • Results-driven mindset with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Ability to thrive in an evolving environment and quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage a high volume of leads effectively.
  • Proficient in using CRM systems, sales automation tools, and other relevant sales software.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% (1-3 trips per quarter on average).

Pay

The On-Target-Earnings for this position is expected to be in the range of $75,000-$100,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, location and qualifications.

Schedule

This role is hybrid, with employees working from either NYC or Boston, MA.
