About the role

Docker is seeking a results-oriented Business Development Representative to join our globally distributed, remote-first team. As a key player in a company trusted by over 20 million monthly users, you will qualify leads for commercial and enterprise-level accounts, helping drive the adoption of Docker’s suite of products including Docker Desktop, Docker Hub, and Docker Scout.

Responsibilities

  • Use prospecting strategies to reach out to existing Docker users who demonstrate a propensity to acquire commercial licenses.
  • Identify the needs and challenges of prospective customers.
  • Determine the prospect's interest in Docker and schedule discovery meetings for sales representatives.
  • Achieve a target number of qualified prospects and new opportunities.
  • Respond to and qualify incoming inquiries regarding Docker products.
  • Craft a great first impression by adding value during every customer touchpoint.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to share customer feedback.
  • Engage in team development and mentoring.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of work experience in a Sales role.
  • A demonstrated track record of success.
  • Proactive and driven with excellent phone, writing, and listening skills.
  • Propensity and willingness to gain a strong understanding of the industry and Docker’s value propositions.
  • High integrity and a team-first mentality.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience preferred.

What to Expect

First 30 days

  • Complete a first-in-class onboarding experience, including equipment setup, swag, and collaborative training.
  • Learn to navigate sales tools such as Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Common Room, Outreach, Sales Navigator, and Docker.
  • Begin core SDR functions: prospecting, lead qualification, appointment setting, Salesforce hygiene, and pipeline management.
  • Work closely with your manager, shadow peers, and partner with your Account Executive to develop prospecting strategies.
  • By the end of the first month, gain a proficient grasp of tools and activities necessary for success.

First 60 Days

  • Focus on company research and identify target accounts and prospecting strategies in your territory.
  • Build prospecting lists for target accounts and key decision-makers, reaching out via cold calls, email, chat, and social media.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Docker’s products and refine your pitch.
  • Adhere to team KPI metrics and prospecting standards.
  • Achieve an advanced understanding of tools, activities, and best practices for the BDR role.

First 90 Days

  • Become confident in your role and operate independently at full speed.
  • Continue improving messaging, processes, and daily activities.
  • Master lead qualification and tool/process expertise.

Docker does not offer visa sponsorship for this role.

Pay

United States: $59.5K – $85K OTE + equity.
