About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Business Development Representative (BDR) focused on K–12 to support our sales and outreach initiatives. As a key point of contact between school leaders and our platform, you will engage prospective customers through either inbound or outbound channels, introduce our solutions to schools and districts, identify decision-makers, and set up qualified meetings for our Partnership Managers. Depending on business needs and team assignments, BDRs may focus on inbound lead management or outbound prospecting efforts. This role is high visibility, collaborates frequently with cross-functional teams, and is client-facing. It is an entry-level opportunity ideal for someone looking to break into EdTech sales, with the training and support to build a strong foundation in education-focused business development.

Responsibilities

  • Educate prospects on how our tools support teachers and improve student learning
  • Qualify inbound leads or outbound prospects based on school or district needs, decision-making structure, and timeline

  • Meet productivity and pipeline generation goals aligned to assigned responsibilities
  • Track activity, outreach, and results in our CRM (e.g., HubSpot or Salesforce)
  • Collaborate with marketing on campaign feedback and outreach strategy
  • Stay up to date on K–12 trends and challenges, including funding cycles and academic goals

Skills

  • Passion for education and driven by purpose
  • Ability to effectively engage prospective customers through assigned inbound or outbound business development activities
  • Willingness to cold-call or send cold emails, seeing "no" as the start of a conversation
  • Organizational skills and coachability
  • Eagerness to grow in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear and respectful communication with educators and peers

Requirements

  • Experience working in or with K–12 schools (e.g., tutoring, admin, nonprofit, Teach for America) preferred
  • Familiarity with the education buying cycle or how school districts make decisions
  • Previous experience using CRM or sales engagement tools (not required—training provided)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Legal right to work in the United States

Benefits

  • Robust and comprehensive insurance package
  • Career Development Ownership – be the driver of your success
  • Continuing Education and Tuition Reimbursement Programs
  • Mentorship program and collaboration with veteran leaders
  • Constant opportunities for cross‑functional training and skill building
  • Uncapped career
