About the role

CentralReach is seeking a motivated, results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing Education Sales team. This role is responsible for identifying and engaging prospective school districts, educational organizations, and key decision-makers to generate qualified sales opportunities for our Account Executives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate qualified meetings and sales opportunities for Account Executives through proactive outbound prospecting.
  • Conduct high-volume outbound phone calls and personalized email campaigns to engage prospective customers.
  • Research target accounts and identify key decision-makers within school districts and educational organizations.
  • Build relationships with administrators and other education leaders to understand their needs and challenges.
  • Qualify prospects based on established criteria and accurately document activities in Salesforce (or CRM).
  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives to ensure a seamless transition from prospecting to sales engagement.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects through multiple communication channels.
  • Meet or exceed activity, meeting, and pipeline generation goals.
  • Stay informed on education industry trends, particularly within special education, to effectively position CentralReach solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in business development, sales development, inside sales, or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Experience working with or selling to administrators in the K-12 education market is required.
  • Experience in special education, either professionally or through selling technology or services into special education programs, is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success with outbound prospecting, including cold calling and email outreach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create compelling, personalized messaging.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and sales engagement tools is preferred.

  • Develops meaningful relationships with education administrators and district leaders.
  • Maintains high levels of outbound activity while delivering thoughtful, personalized outreach.
  • Contributes to pipeline growth and supports the continued expansion of CentralReach's Education business.
