About the role

Since 1989, the National Healthcareer Association® (NHA) has awarded more than 1,000,000 allied health certifications and credentials. NHA is expanding product offerings to include Training Solutions in the healthcare space, committed to helping organizations employ quality professionals who improve the standard of care. As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you’ll focus on creating qualified sales leads to cultivate new business opportunities from prospects through self-sourced prospects and manage an assigned roster and Marketing qualified leads.

This position is remote, based in the United States, with a preference for working in the CST timezone.

Responsibilities

  • Drive lead generation and client conversion by executing outbound calls and emails, handling inbound inquiries, and identifying high-potential prospects through effective prospecting and qualification.
  • Cultivate new business with healthcare industry prospects across a U.S. assigned territory.
  • Use consultative and value-based sales techniques to understand prospects’ business needs and recommend frontline healthcare training and certification product solutions to key stakeholders and decision-makers such as Healthcare CEOs, CNOs, CMOs, Nurse Educators, and Professional Development Directors.
  • Conduct effective, efficient, and professional telephone, email, webinar, and social media communications to achieve performance metrics.
  • Schedule and coordinate discovery meetings with aligned Sales team members as applicable.
  • Foster strong client relationships and create a positive brand image by collaborating with Marketing on campaigns, maintaining accurate CRM records, and managing leads throughout the process.
  • Support sales team success by participating in strategy meetings, staying informed on industry trends, understanding prospect challenges, and preparing sales plays and messaging for Call Calendar.
  • Streamline the top of the sales funnel to facilitate the success of Account Managers and Solutions Executives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2+ years of recent successful sales experience with a proven track record of overachieving.
  • Selling products or services to the healthcare industry considered a plus.
  • Experience using CRM to manage territory.
  • Previous experience, efficiency, and comfort level working remotely.
  • Ability to build curiosity by creating and communicating the value of products and services to prospective and new clients.
  • Proficiency presenting to small and large group audiences via conference call and/or in web-enabled environments using PowerPoint and other technologies (defined as being a clear, concise, error-free, yet persuasive spoken and written communicator).
  • Ability to ask the best questions to identify prospects’ needs and provide current product solutions by communicating the value of products with active and empathy-focused listening.
  • Ability to successfully collaborate and communicate with team members to ensure strong, positive, and profitable client relations through continual support throughout the sales process.
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism with colleagues and clients daily.
  • Demonstrate a high level of intellectual curiosity, problem-solving skills, and constant pursuit of knowledge with a willingness to be coached.
  • Ability to offer solutions in a productive and professional manner to both clients and team members.
  • High level of follow-up both internally within the organization and externally with customers.
  • Ability to be self-motivated and driven with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, WebEx, and similar remote conferencing platforms.
  • Able to work remotely in the CST timezone.

Pay

The current full-time annualized hiring range for this role is $42,300.00–$60,500.00 and does not include discretionary bonus or sales incentives, if applicable. Individual compensation will be determined by various factors, including relevant experience, qualifications, current business needs, and local market factors.
