About the role

The Business Development Representative – Commercial Doors, Frames & Hardware (Division 8) works closely with executive leadership and operations management to drive market growth, develop new business opportunities, and strengthen existing client relationships. This role is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing commercial construction opportunities while serving as a key liaison between customers and internal operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement strategic marketing and business development plans.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with assigned accounts and key decision-makers.
  • Understand customer needs and identify opportunities for Division 8 Doors, Frames & Hardware services.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and operations teams in preparing budgets, proposals, and bid strategies.
  • Partner with Operations Managers and other Business Development team members to secure awarded projects.
  • Serve as the primary local liaison between customers and the company.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor regional marketing budgets.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales activity reports, and pipeline tracking.
  • Attend industry events, networking functions, and trade associations to expand business opportunities.
  • Generate leads, identify prospects, and cultivate new client relationships.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, customer service, or a related field.
  • Experience in commercial construction, building products, Division 8, Division 10, or specialty contracting preferred.
  • Existing relationships with general contractors, construction managers, architects, or building owners highly desirable.
