About the Role

This role involves onsite in-plant interaction with key plant stakeholders, product training, application and sharpening consultation. You will ensure the reporting of activation metrics leads to improved yields, employee satisfaction, and user cost savings. Additionally, you will implement the Victorinox sales strategy while prospecting and developing processing and slaughter accounts to promote and increase penetration of the Victorinox product offering in the processing market, including beef, pork, poultry, game, and commercial fishing.

Responsibilities

  • In-Plant Activations:
    • Pre-visit communications with plant management regarding employee knife usage and activity, confirmation of product currently in use and inventory, accuracy of usage forecast, and sharpening system in place.
    • Set in-person meetings with stakeholders and confirm samples/purchase order of Victorinox product is onsite prior to plant activation visit.
    • Onsite interaction with key plant stakeholders, including product training, application, and sharpening consultation.
    • Present target-specific information and presentations to plant management, trainers, shift supervisors, line leaders, knife room employees, finance team, and procurement team.
    • Audit the sharpening system/service model to ensure longevity of knives and correct usage of sharpening and sharpness testing equipment.
    • Through observation and engagement, ensure employee adoption and acceptance of Victorinox product.
    • “Train the trainers” using all available appropriate sales support tools and provide Victorinox “certification” to participating plant trainers.
    • Gather and share information needed for Victorinox product and marketing repositories.
    • Ensure proper reporting of all activation metrics leading to improved yields, fewer knife sharpenings, consolidation of knives, fewer knives purchased compared to competitive products, better employee health and satisfaction, and overall user cost savings.
  • Sales:
    • Engage with processing headquarters accounts and drive top-line sales growth through management of assigned distributor and end-user accounts in the assigned territory.
    • Manage, grow, and develop assigned territories and accounts while meeting and exceeding budgeted goals.
    • Focus on sales in the defined meat processing, slaughter, and commercial fishing markets.
    • Develop relationships at all levels with assigned processor headquarters, distributor, and plant-level customers.
    • Regular interaction with other functional team members, including product, sales operations, marketing, customer service, and finance teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the processing industry at a national or regional level.
  • High degree of organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, both internal and external.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 60–70%.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
