About the role
PULLMAN is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team in the Seattle, WA and greater Pacific Northwest region. This position will focus on developing and strengthening client relationships across various markets such as commercial higher education, tech, mixed-use, and healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Bring PULLMAN’s capabilities to various markets including commercial higher education, tech, mixed-use and healthcare.
- Collaborate with Technologies and Operations teams to develop solutions for tough construction challenges and meet customer needs.
- Develop, maintain, and expand business relationships with owners, engineers, and general contractors.
- Participate in sales meetings, sales calls, seminars, lunch & learns, trade shows, and other sales strategies and initiatives.
- Manage accounts and expand business relationships with clients.
- Meet or exceed annual sales goals set by management.
- Create, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions.
- Manage sales processes related to projects with varying levels of complexity and contract values.
Requirements
- Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree may be given preference.
- Minimum 5 years of previous sales experience building relationships and expanding a client base in the commercial market, preferably selling specialty construction services or products/services to the commercial market, including calling on owners, local engineers, and general contracting firms.
- Strong knowledge of the Pacific Northwest construction market, including engineering firms, property management firms, building owners, general contractors, architects, etc.
- Track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales goals/quotas using a CRM system.
- Solid understanding of the sales process with the ability to explain that process from identification of opportunity through close of sale.
- Previous construction or restoration experience preferred.
- Local travel 70%-80% of the time.
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum 5 years of previous sales experience in the commercial market.
- Strong knowledge of the Pacific Northwest construction market.
- Track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales goals/quotas.
- Experience using a CRM system.
- Understanding of the sales process.
- Previous construction or restoration experience preferred.
