Who We Are

GMV is a multinational group with global presence in different high-tech sectors. In the US, our company was originally founded as Syncromatics in 2006 and joined GMV Global in 2015. We specialize in all things technical for public transit systems.

We're Here to Serve Customers

Our team has a sincere interest in making the world a better place. We are helping reduce carbon emissions, fighting traffic congestion, making cities more livable, and enabling people to get around without a car (whether by choice or by necessity).

We're Looking for Passion

We value a candidate who wants to take full responsibility for the growth of our business within their territory. We want someone who is proactive and disciplined. We want someone who is curious. How does this technology work? Why does this client operate this way? You must enjoy asking questions and figuring out the answers.

What This Role Is About

  • Researching prospective customers to confirm they are a good fit.
  • Meting prospects and clients at industry events and at their offices.
  • Conducting technology demonstrations and educating prospects about our system.
  • Maintaining well organized records of client interactions.
  • Managing opportunities through a formal procurement, including RFP intake, Proposal Development, and Final Presentation.
  • Directing the activities of GMV colleagues across departments, including technical experts, marketing, bid/proposal, and others to deliver a complete and compelling proposal or presentation to the client.

Required Qualifications

  • Outgoing personality
  • Empathy for public transit staff
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong aptitude for and interest in technology
  • Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field
  • 5+ years of prior professional experience in customer facing role

Preferred, but Not Required

  • Prior experience in a public sector sales or customer-facing role
  • Prior experience in public transit planning or operations

Our Commitment, and Yours

We set our team up for success and dedicate a lot of time to onboarding and training. We value internal mobility and advancement and many of us measure our tenure in decades. We're looking for someone with a similar dedication, who expects to be here for at least a few years.

What We Offer

  • $110K - $120K base salary
  • Commission (% of value of your won deals) with unlimited upside and quarterly bonus based on personal goals (% of base salary)
  • Total Compensation Target of $250K, but the sky is the limit. There are no commission caps, complex formulas, kickers, or managers moving the goal posts. We want to set clear and consistent incentives that are aligned with what’s best for the company and help you earn as much as possible.
  • Generous Medical and Dental insurance benefits
  • Generous paid parental leave after one year
  • 401k plan with company match

To Apply, You MUST Send More Than a Resume

We don’t need a formal sir or madam cover letter, but we do need to see you taking the application seriously, which means writing a note to us telling us why this job appeals to you and specifically why you’d be a great fit. Most importantly, show us something about you that we can’t get from your resume.
