This role is part of our Travel Guard team. Travel Guard is a leading travel insurance brand, serving millions of leisure and business travellers worldwide. Established in 1982, we offer a comprehensive portfolio of travel insurance solutions and global assistance services. Travel Guard operates service centres across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, ensuring 24/7 support to help travellers navigate unexpected circumstances that may disrupt their plans.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business development and sales efforts for Zurich Cover-More within your region, building a strong pipeline of new business opportunities while continuing to grow and support existing partner relationships.
  • Identify, mature, negotiate, and close new sales opportunities, working closely with internal leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver profitable, scalable, and technology-enabled solutions for our partners.
  • Lead regional business development efforts, with ownership of new business sales targets and the goal of exceeding annual revenue objectives.
  • Manage the full sales cycle process, from prospecting and pipeline development through negotiation, close, launch, and ongoing client success.
  • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline across new business prospects and existing accounts, ensuring CRM information is updated regularly and forecasts are accurate.
  • Build and execute strategic new business plans for key partners, accounts, and prospects.
  • Maximize cross-sell and up-sell opportunities with existing clients where applicable.
  • Collaborate closely with sales leaders and internal teams across product, underwriting, pricing, operations, finance, technology, risk, compliance, legal, and project management.
  • Determine efficient and profitable transaction methods with partners, leveraging appropriate technology and digital solutions.
  • Track, analyze, and report on the performance of sales development activities, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and communicate emerging market trends, competitor activity, and economic factors that may impact business strategy.
  • Represent Zurich Cover-More as a thought leader within the travel insurance industry, including active involvement with industry organizations, consortiums, client events, and conferences.
  • Provide exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders while ensuring confidential information is handled in line with company and partner protocols.
  • Deliver regular reporting, updates, and communication to key stakeholders across Zurich Cover-More Group.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred
5–7 years’ demonstrated sales experience within travel, financial services, or a related industry
Business-to-business sales experience required, including experience selling deals of USD $500K+

  • Proven ability to prospect, negotiate, close opportunities, and exceed financial targets
  • Strong “hunter” sales acumen, with the drive, motivation, and resilience to identify and convert new business opportunities
  • Demonstrated track record of overachieving sales targets individually and/or through team-based success
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to close opportunities in line with monthly and annual targets
  • Experience managing the full sales project lifecycle from opportunity identification through implementation and client success
  • Strong networking skills, both externally with clients and partners and internally across a matrixed organization
  • Comfort presenting to clients, partners, and industry audiences, including at conferences and external events
  • Excellent communication, presentation, persuasion, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to collaborate, cooperate, and build relationships across a demanding, matrixed organization
  • Tech-savvy, with demonstrated experience using Microsoft products, Salesforce, CRM tools, and related business systems
  • Self-disciplined, self-motivated, honest, and highly accountable
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with a hands-on approach and willingness to “roll up your sleeves”
  • Willingness and ability to travel to account and partner locations, as well as sales conferences, approximately 25%–50% of the time

Pay

The combined salary range for this position is $85,000 - $90,375 with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.

Schedule

We offer a hybrid approach, ensuring you can maintain work-life balance with the flexibility of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
