Job Details

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth by expanding existing customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities across warehousing and transportation services. This role partners closely with regional operations leadership and cross-functional teams to develop tailored solutions for customers, while engaging directly with supply chain leaders at leading food manufacturing companies.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of warehousing, distribution, and transportation capabilities, services, and solutions
  • Identifies, qualifies, and develops new business opportunities and target accounts
  • Affairs warehousing, distribution, and transportation requirements for prospective customers on a local, regional, and national basis
  • Covers business expenses prior to company reimbursement

Qualifications

  • Education: 4-year degree or equivalent experience in sales, marketing, supply chain
  • Experience: 2–5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a related role
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of warehousing, distribution, and transportation services
  • CRM Tools: Experience using CRM tools to manage sales pipelines, forecasting, and reporting
  • Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation
  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment

  • Be a self-starter, able to work independently and coordinate with others
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing stress and meeting productivity guidelines
