About the role
The Business Development Manager will sell custom software including web, mobile, and IoT technologies, focusing on delivering programmatic experiences that meet and exceed client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Identify business opportunities by prospecting and securing meetings.
- Deliver dynamic presentations to prospects, understanding their needs, and finding solutions for their product development challenges.
- Support clients' ongoing needs by working closely with engineering leaders.
- Represent the company at relevant industry events to expand the network.
- Maintain knowledge of key target industries, identifying pain points and product development opportunities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a B2B Business Development leader in the software development services industry.
- A deep network of executive and engineering leadership contacts.
- An ability to have meaningful conversations with prospective clients about their specific challenges.
- Business acumen and the ability to understand broader industry issues.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills with a confident and aggressive approach.
- Results-oriented, effective, and driven personality.
- Availability to travel to client sites when necessary.
