About the role

The Manager, Business Development - Technology, will quickly gain an understanding and working knowledge of Veregy’s technology and building automation system solutions. The individual will utilize this understanding to support sales activities for regional sales teams. The role involves inside sales activities to create a strong technology pipeline within Veregy’s existing sales structure and building external partnerships to develop an owner-direct sales pipeline for building automation and technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support regional sales teams with pre-sales positioning.
  • Work collaboratively with regional sales teams to identify prospective customers and propose high-value solutions.
  • Track and document opportunities as they progress through a sales funnel.
  • Participate in owner-facing sales meetings and internal project development meetings.
  • Strategically develop an external sales pipeline through third-party partners for Veregy’s building automation and technology solutions.
  • Oversee a team of project developers and estimators responsible for technical scoping and solution cost estimates.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or three+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three+ years’ sales or business development experience.
  • Experience developing and managing a sales pipeline.
  • Familiarity and knowledge of building automation systems.
  • Proven experience managing teams in a construction or building automation environment.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • 50% travel required.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
