Business Development Manager - MSP

Position Description

The Business Development Manager (BDM) plays a pivotal role in seeking new business opportunities to drive the company's revenue growth in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The BDM will generate leads through networking, events and cold outreach as well as manage inbound leads generated by marketing. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that thrives with the opportunity to exceed established sales and activity targets.

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to articulate key business objections and basic technical information to facilitate translating technical solutions to non-technical clients in a way they can fully understand
• Basic understanding of IT hardware and network systems
• Inherent curiosity about client businesses, technology and best practices
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain accurate sales pipelines to enable forecasting
• Prospecting experience such as cold calling, social selling, networking and other activities to generate first meetings with new prospects
• Demonstrable ability to identify and work directly with the C-suite and key executive sponsors
• Proficiency using a Sales CRM (preferably HubSpot)
• Strong presentation and closing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Team player, collaborative and a willingness to learn with a positive attitude

Candidate Should Possess

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Technology or Operations required
• 3+ years of outside B2B sales experience required
• Experience selling to SMB professional services, engineering, manufacturing, oil & gas preferred
• Direct experience selling IT services, technology, and/or hardware is strongly preferred
