Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships and opportunities for F&R to be considered for projects, increasing exposure and building F&R's brand within the market.
  • Utilize F&R’s CRM system to implement a business development plan that outlines the level of activity needed to meet or exceed branch goals, including maintaining existing clients and pursuing new relationships aligned with overall strategic objectives.
  • Navigate the sales process to influence decision-makers at all levels, share proven best practices, craft specific solutions for clients, and assist them in reducing costs, risks, and improving customer service levels.
  • Understand and meet client expectations.
  • Develop partnerships with professional and operational staff and coordinate business development activities of the operations staff to ensure their contributions to the branch's BD efforts.
  • Staging and leading internal and external meetings.
  • Reviewing and tracking electronic lead sources for potential revenue.
  • Assisting in the preparation of RFP responses, SOQs, and other written submittals.
  • Recognize trends that need addressing or capitalizing on behalf of the company.
  • Participate in industry-focused networking groups and events.
  • Encourage, assist, and direct capable professionals and other staff to engage in business development-related activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/related or technical field preferred.
  • Specific relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 5+ years of successful sales experience in the same or related field highly preferred.
  • Ability to manage numerous assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to participate in industry events.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Regular local travel within the Charlotte metropolitan area is required.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be necessary for meetings, training, or project support.
  • Valid US Driver’s License and good standing driving record.
  • Willingness to participate in and pass F&R’s pre-employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening, and driving record.
  • Ability to self-start and set/meet self-imposed goals.

Qualifications

  • Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s pre-employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record.
  • Must have a valid US Driver’s License and good standing driving record.
