About the role
Develop and manage a commercial and industrial energy-efficiency pipeline across an assigned New Jersey territory. Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, community partners, municipalities, and trade associations.
Responsibilities
- Prospect, qualify, and close energy-efficiency projects with commercial and industrial customers.
- Advance opportunities through a defined, multi-stage sales process using Salesforce and eTrac.
- Refer residential opportunities identified in the field to the appropriate residential program.
- Oversee the performance of office and field vendors contracted to deliver program services.
- Manage employee performance and ensure all required safety protocols and practices are followed.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional teams involving Customer Care, Contracting, Procurement, Legal, Marketing, IT, and other program stakeholders.
- Support the delivery of program services, improve the customer experience, and resolve business issues.
- Develop and maintain program processes while providing oversight for business controls, process improvement, and compliance.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
- Monitor program Key Performance Indicators to ensure program delivery meets business-plan expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present program and project status reports to customers and management.
- Serve as a program advocate throughout the assigned territory.
- Build relationships with community organizations, municipalities, and trade associations to increase awareness of commercial and industrial programs.
- Capture Voice of the Customer feedback and field intelligence for program teams.
- Assist with special projects as needed.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in management, engineering, business, or a related field and at least five years of experience in energy-efficiency programs and business development.
- In lieu of a degree, at least nine years of experience in energy-efficiency programs and business development.
- Experience managing vendor performance and leading cross-functional teams.
- Experience with energy-efficiency or electric-vehicle programs.
- Experience in business development and customer relationship management.
- Management or leadership experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Energy Manager certification.
- MBA or other advanced degree.

Pay
$48.00 - $53.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
