About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth and strategic success within our Capital Markets, Funds, and Real Estate sectors. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7+ years of experience in marketing, business development, or client service, ideally within a legal or professional services setting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop targeted business development strategies
  • Support pitch and RFP processes
  • Oversee marketing efforts that elevate our practice groups
  • Contribute to firm-wide success through strategic insights

Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years of marketing, business development, or client service experience
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic business development and marketing initiatives
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a flair for creating persuasive pitch materials and RFP responses
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CRM systems and data analysis tools
  • Solid understanding of client relationship management and experience fostering client growth
  • Ability to analyze market data, competitive intelligence, and research to inform strategic decisions
  • Skilled at mentoring junior team members and working independently

Qualifications

  • Nice to have: Experience working with practice groups focused on Capital Markets, Funds, or Real Estate; knowledge of industry directories, surveys, and awards such as Chambers or Legal 500; experience creating content like client alerts, newsletters, webinars, or podcasts; familiarity with legal or professional services marketing and branding initiatives
  • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Law, or related fields; JD or MBA is a plus; 7+ years of relevant experience in business development or marketing roles

  • Active engagement in industry events, sponsorships, speaking opportunities, and thought leadership initiatives
  • Willingness to support special projects such as lateral integration, internal trainings, or firmwide materials
