Business Development Manager, Events Program
About the role
The BD Manager, Events Program is an IC role at the heart of Tinder’s mission to bring people together beyond the screen. This role involves managing a book of business across several markets, securing co-promotion deals, and developing market-specific playbooks to scale the program.
Responsibilities
- Manage a book of business across several markets, owning end-to-end relationships with event hosts whose recurring, relevant events are listed on Tinder Prospect
- Close net new partnerships with local venues, event creators, and organizers using scaled, repeatable sales approaches
- Secure co-promotion agreements with event hosts to drive mutual visibility and value for Tinder users
- Build and iterate on market-specific playbooks that systematize how we source, pitch, and onboard event partners — so the model scales city by city
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate outreach, event discovery, lead scoring, and relationship management across your book of business
- Develop deep knowledge of local event scenes to ensure Tinder's supply stays fresh, trendy, and brand-aligned
- Collaborate with the Sr. Manager and cross-functional teams on pipeline strategy, market expansion, and partner performance
- Track and report on KPIs including pipeline volume, conversion rates, market coverage, and partner retention
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or partnerships — ideally in events, media, entertainment, hospitality, or consumer tech
- Proven track record of hitting and exceeding revenue, pipeline, or growth targets
- A systems thinker who naturally builds repeatable processes rather than one-off deals
- Genuine comfort with AI and automation tools as a core part of your sales workflow
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to close deals with founders, promoters, and venue owners
- Entrepreneurial mindset — energized by ambiguity and biased toward action
Qualifications
- Experience in nightlife, live events, or local entertainment ecosystems is a plus
- Familiarity with co-promotion or co-marketing deal structures is a plus
- Background with Gen Z or millennial consumer brands is a plus
- Experience scaling a sales or partnerships motion across multiple cities or regions is a plus

Pay
The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $139,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in Los Angeles, CA. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
Schedule
This role requires in-office collaboration three times per week in Los Angeles, CA, with approximately 20% travel for market visits, partner meetings, and event activations.
