Business Development Manager | EMS

Overview EMS Business Development Manager 📍 Location: UF Health Flagler Hospital (St. Johns and Flager area) 💻 Work Style: Field-Based - This is a position that will be a part of our Gainesville based team but will work the geographic territory of Flagler County and St. Johns County, representing the UF Health St. Johns and Durbin campuses. 🕒 FTE: Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Build and maintain strong relationships with local EMS leadership and providers, community leadership, emergency rooms, healthcare systems and their teams through regular outreach, while developing and executing targeted business development strategies that support the organization’s strategic growth goals. Gather and analyze market and competitive intelligence to inform leadership decisions, address and resolve barriers for patient access to the UFH system, support the growth needs of clinical service lines, programs, and system initiatives. Coordinate and collaborate on educational outreach activities throughout the market including but not limited to CME events, in-services, conferences, health fairs, and seminars to highlight organizational capabilities and foster engagement. Contribute to medical transport and hospital to hospital growth, strengthen medical transport and health system alignment, and ensure strategies implemented support system initiatives. Responsibilities Responsibilities Build and maintain relationships with community EMS providers, medical transport providers, and healthcare systems Strengthen medical transport alignment and engagementDrive strategic growth for key service lines, clinical programs, and system initiatives Develop and execute business development plans and tactics for strategic growthCollect and report market intelligence with leadershipResolve ED throughput barriers through collaboration with clinical and operational leadershipCoordinate educational outreach including CME programs, in services, field visits, etc. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience in business development, clinical services, EMS/medical transport, hospital emergency service, medical/pharmaceutical sales, or provider relations preferred Preferred Qualifications An understanding of Emergency Department patient throughput from an EMS perspective, flight perspective, ED perspective or all of the aboveExperience and relationships within the ST. Johns and Flagler counties with local EMS bases and leadersExperience with County Commission and City LeadershipStrong communication skills both written and verbalExperience in market assessments and data analysis preferredProfessional presentation skillsExperience within healthcare and/or a hospital system specifically preferredExperience in a provider relations role preferredHigh level of professionalism required
