Business Development Manager, Electrical Power Distribution
Location: North Carolina and South Carolina (Remote)

Siemens is looking for a Business Development Manager focused on the electric power distribution market. The candidate will work with electrical power distribution end users to promote Siemens solutions and coordinate with the Siemens Sales team to succeed on target projects. Responsibilities
- Review complex bills of material and offer alternative solutions (bill of material optimization) to customers that drive incremental value over the competition.
- Facilitate bid negotiation covering all aspects of large complex projects: system design, bill of materials, labor content, local codes and standards, and contract negotiations including risk and liability.
- Identify all key stakeholders of the project bid and negotiation process and represent Siemens products to those stakeholders.
- Evaluate business opportunities and make recommendations on specifications, system design, and product application.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced degree in engineering.
- 5+ years of sales and/or engineering experience with power distribution solutions for construction applications.
- Strong understanding of Medium and Low voltage distribution products.
- Able to manage C-level relationships within electrical power distribution end users.
- Working knowledge of the electrical industry and/or the specific markets listed.
- Must be eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future.
- Ability to travel 20%.
Preferred Qualifications
- BS Electrical Engineering Degree.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.
- Experience with Switchgear and switchboards.
- Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC).
- Strong ability to build client relationships.
- Experience in designing electrical products.
- Manage discussions with various stakeholders who may not agree on a solution for a particular opportunity.
- Self-starter and motivator who can create and maintain key customer relationships.
- Located in either North Carolina or South Carolina.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $91,463 - $156,794. The actual wage offered may vary depending on budget, candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
