Business Development Manager - Commercial Motors
Main Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to grow WEG’s presence and expand market share in target segments.
- Map market segments, pinpoint growth opportunities, and convert leads into sales.
- Build strong relationships with customers to understand their processes and ensure WEG meets their requirements.
- Partner with marketing, product, and sales teams to align strategies and guarantee seamless execution of initiatives.
- Identify client needs and collaborate across departments to deliver tailored solutions with a unique value proposition that drives revenue growth.
- Represent and strengthen the WEG brand by participating in relevant conferences, trade shows, industry events, and customer engagements.
- Monitor industry megatrends, market shifts, geopolitical developments, and competitor landscapes to develop effective go-to-market strategies.
- Learn and showcase WEG's capabilities, organizational strengths, and serve as the ambassador for the company with key customers.
- Support broader WEG sales teams by preparing and delivering presentations, proposals, and strategies to prospective clients.
- Successfully meet organizational goals, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and reporting requirements.
- Perform additional duties and tasks as required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or business preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
- Familiarity with the motor and/or similar industry; experience in technical types of sales.
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- High level of personal initiative, leadership, energy, and ownership of results.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships and work across customer organizations.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently or in a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, reporting, tracking, communication, and follow-up/follow-through.
