About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced, self-starter, goal-oriented, successful sales professional to fill the role of Business Development Manager in our Cincinnati region.
Responsibilities
- Developing new business accounts to secure major construction contracts
- Strategically prospect, network, and research future construction project opportunities
- Working collaboratively with the Business Development team to create and implement strategic plans to generate business opportunities which result in achieved revenue objectives for the Cincinnati region
- Participating in industry and community organizations
- Continuously growing and developing your skills to lead project teams in selling high-end conceptual services to executive level managers and buyers of large corporations and agencies
- Influence the performance of cross-functional teams
- Make decisions based on Messer's long-term growth philosophy and core values
Requirements
- 5+ years of business development/sales experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, construction, or related field
- Ability to work non-traditional hours
- Business and community relationships in the Cincinnati area
- Knowledge/experience in a construction-related industry
- Knowledge of Messer market segments is a plus
- Formal sales training experience and utilization of client relationship management (CRM) software preferred
- Prioritize a proven track record developing business and long-term client relations

Pay
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is flexible and may require occasional evenings and weekends.
