Business Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the client database and identify opportunities for growth
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients
• Identify new business opportunities, markets, and prospective clients across industries and geographic regions
• Develop and execute targeted business development and marketing initiatives
• Generate and qualify leads through research, outreach, networking, and cold-calling
• Manage business development activities, leads, and opportunities through the sales pipeline
• Represent the company at client meetings, networking events, conferences, trade shows, and industry events
• Collaborate with leadership and internal teams to support strategic growth initiatives
• Independently manage priorities, follow-ups, and day-to-day business development activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, or client relations
• Experience in the engineering, architecture, construction, environmental, or broader A/E/C industry preferred
• Strong relationship-building, networking, and presentation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Willingness to travel periodically for client meetings, networking events, conferences, and trade shows

Pay

The estimated salary range for this role is $75,000 USD - $105,000 USD. Candidates with exceptional industry connections and/or significant experience in business development and civil engineering may be considered for compensation above the posted range, based on their experience and qualifications.
