About The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an entrepreneurial, driven, strategic, and energetic Business Development Manager with significant experience in industrial parts, components, and assemblies. This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced business-development professional who can identify new markets, develop strategic customer relationships, win new business, and drive profitable growth across targeted industrial markets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute short- and long-term business development strategies.
  • Identify new markets, target accounts, and strategic growth opportunities.
  • Develop strategies to penetrate new accounts and expand existing customer relationships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customer procurement, engineering, and technical teams.
  • Develop product roadmaps that support sustained profitable growth.
  • Conduct market research and analyze industry trends and competitive opportunities.
  • Develop marketing plans, business plans, sales strategies, and action plans for targeted opportunities.
  • Identify and secure new business programs.
  • Provide direction and leadership in implementing sales strategies.
  • Prepare and maintain forecasts covering new business sales, bookings, proposals, and customer programs.
  • Monitor booking rates, delivery performance, quotation activity, order backlog, forecast changes, and new-business opportunities.
  • Present key business-development metrics and market analysis to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate status of major opportunities, projects, activity history, and next steps.
  • Travel as needed to support customers, projects, and business-development activities.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales Engineering, or Sales Management.
  • Significant experience in the industrial sector.
  • Proven experience with industrial parts, components, and assemblies.
  • Demonstrated success developing new business and expanding existing accounts.
  • Strong experience working with customer procurement and engineering organizations.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Experience with pricing strategy, market segmentation, and competitive analysis.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related management field preferred.
  • Engineering or applications-engineering background strongly preferred.
  • Experience with engineered industrial products or components.
  • Experience in industries such as:
    • Bearings
    • Industrial equipment
    • Oil & gas
    • Drilling
    • Industrial vehicles
    • Other engineered industrial components

Pay

$180,000–$250,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
