We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager to develop new and strengthen existing client relationships throughout the Midwest region of the US. This position will be primarily based in the Midwest, ideally Omaha, Kansas City, or Wichita and will work remotely in the region but will be a part of our Chicago branch family.
About the Role
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients in the Industrial market.
- Present Infrastructure Maintenance solutions to potential clients.
- Collaborate with Technologies and Operations teams to develop solutions for tough construction challenges.
- Support Structural Technologies and Construction divisions by performing sales functions on high-value projects.
- Participate in industry events and present at tradeshows.
- Follow up, pursue, and communicate information on project and client leads.
- Aid in the drafting and assembly of bid packages for Strengthening projects.
- Attend jobsite walks and pre-bid meetings.
- Participate in project review calls.
- Update CRM database for Industrial projects.
- Work with marketing resources to develop and reach out to key targets.
Responsibilities
- Bring STRUCTURAL's specialty capabilities to the Industrial market.
- Manage construction projects such as structural strengthening, concrete repair, steel repair, waterproofing, soil stabilization, and corrosion control.
- Support the sale of specialty construction services or products to end users.
- Expand the client base in the Midwest region, particularly in food and beverage facilities, chemical plants, and other industrial sites.
- Meet or exceed sales goals/quotas using a CRM system.
- Understand and promote engineered services and products through a complex sales cycle.
- Learn and share information on engineered products, their functions, applicability, and standards.
- Travel 80% of the time within the Midwest region.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Sales experience, preferably in selling specialty construction services/products to end users.
- Strong knowledge of the Midwest region's Industrial Client base, including food and beverage facilities, chemical plants, and other industrial sites.
- Self-starter with high energy, track record of success meeting or exceeding sales goals/quotas.
- Ability to learn and share information on engineered products and their functions.
- Capable of setting and holding others accountable, encouraging and mentoring others.
- Approachable, empathetic, and outgoing personality.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships quickly.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, team-based environment.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM system.
