Responsibilities
- Oversight of new business partnerships and contract negotiations.
- Establishing and maintaining productive peer-to-peer relationships with customers and prospective clients.
- Developing and executing lead generation strategies.
- Collaborating with the team to identify opportunities and plan growth strategies.
- Conducting market research and analysis.
- Evaluating operational issues to ensure alignment with industry trends.
- Monitoring the external and internal environment for potential new market segments.
- Developing marketing campaigns for new products and services, including budget formulation.
- Assisting in the development of an evaluation process to gather client feedback.
Qualifications
- Understanding of engineering requirements including transmission planning, modeling, design, arc flash, short circuit, coordination, and load flow studies.
- Leveraging all aspects of market channels including EPC, ESCO’s, Utility Companies, Developers, Engineering Companies, End-Users, and Equipment Manufacturers.
- In-depth knowledge of utility deployed smart grid programs, including IED’s, reclosers, and associated software platforms.
- Strong background in business development with a working knowledge of power systems.
- Experience understanding customer needs and business drivers, and using this knowledge to develop account plans and strategies.
- Strong leadership abilities, entrepreneurial spirit, and strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize workload independently without direct supervision.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Strategic planning and tactical implementation skills.
- Experience in business development, particularly in the power systems space including engineering or field service testing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
