Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate business opportunities with new and existing customers
- Maintain a constant flow of RFQs and RFPs for the sales pipeline
- Support estimating activities with customer follow-up on in-process and submitted quotes and proposals
- Establish a three-year strategic and tactical sales plan and forecast, with year-over-year growth targets
- Develop long-term strategic relationships across the customer organization, from buyers to decision makers
- Build Capture Plans for strategic target programs, part numbers, and customers
- Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products and services
- Lead the sales process across multiple departments, with a focus on core competency programs and parts; provide market and target pricing inputs when available
- Maintain current awareness of industry intelligence, new programs, customer news, new technology, new requirements, and aircraft platform production rates
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years of sales experience in aerospace manufacturing, strong sales growth experience
- Familiarity with government and industry regulations and portals a plus, including FARs, DFARs, FAA, SAM, JCP, and similar
